The Project Lead, IT is responsible for managing the implementation of strategic IT initiatives for St. Joseph's by providing overall project management including project governance, project artifacts creation and maintenance, stakeholder and governance management, change management, and timely risk escalation/mitigation. The role will support multi-year transformative IT initiatives such as OneChart Phase II, virtual care optimization, AI strategy and integration, and data governance and management in alignment with St. Joseph's Health Care London's clinical and corporate priorities. The St. Joseph's IT project Lead will also support the ongoing optimization and maintenance of the ongoing shared IT services model with London Health Sciences Centre across IT domains (e.g. Cerner, Clinical, Corporate, Infrastructure, Devices etc.) including support of the IT governance model between both hospitals.

Collaborating closely with the St. Joseph's clinical and corporate stakeholders, project and technical resources and regional hospital partners, this role will lead the transition and adoption of new technological solutions for both clinical and corporate staff.

This role will lead integration, decision-making facilitation, and engagement across St. Joseph's. The Project Lead, IT prioritizes a patient and provider-centric approach, aiming for successful deployment and system optimization to enhance patient care, efficiency, and overall hospital operations. Additionally, they contribute to St. Joseph's broader IT initiatives, supporting the development and execution of the organization's IT strategic roadmap. This includes elevating the patient and provider experience and optimizing IT operations and service performance.



Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree - Information Technology, Computer Science, business or related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Demonstrated 5 years of experience in EMR implementation, in-depth knowledge of healthcare information systems, clinical informatics, and EHR systems, health IT standards
  • Project Management Skills: Strong understanding and application of project management processes and methodologies, proven leadership experience in leading complex projects/initiatives with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Change Management Skills: Experience in change management methodologies, with the ability to support teams through organizational change.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively including presentation skills/experience.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed recommendations, proactively identify risks/issues and devise mitigation strategies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Information Technology, Computer Science, business or related field preferred
  • Demonstrated 3 years of experience working in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
  • Proficiency in French would be an asset

Immunization Requirements
  • Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine (primary series, boosters and/or XBB) OR one dose of XBB vaccine at least 14 days prior to the start date.
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
